The remediation began with constructing an interior French drain system positioned to intercept water near the front porch, directing it toward the crawl space’s lower end for external discharge. We then proceeded to seal the foundation and footing openings, eliminating the primary pathways for water entry.

To manage soil moisture, we opted for a robust crawl space vapor barrier, meticulously affixed and sealed against the walls up to a calculated height that excluded the upper sections not implicated in moisture contribution, optimizing cost savings.

Further economizing was achieved by opting for a gravity drain situated at the crawl space’s deepest point, bypassing the need for a more costly sump pump installation.
