East Nasty Crawl Space Made East Nicety!

Customer: Zoltan G.

Location: Nashville, TN 37207-5449

Project Manager: Nathan

Foreman: Jacob

Problem:

This 1920’s bungalow style home sits just east of Dickerson Pike and a few blocks
away from the much beloved Shugga Hi Chicken and Waffles. If you’re lucky, you might just
catch the delightful smell of chicken frying as it wafts eastwardly from the restaurant. But
underneath this nicely restored Nashville home, another picture comes into view; a nasty crawl
space. This tight, musty and dusty crawl space needed some attention to bring it up to speed
with the rest of the house. Blanketed by construction debris and mold growth, this homeowner
knew it was time to get the crawl space back in shape.

Solution:

After some due diligence, Zoltan selected our recommended scope of work from a
host of other opinions. We were contracted to install a heavy-duty vapor barrier to control
ground moisture and protect the floor system above. We began by performing a general crawl
space cleanup and mold remediation treatment. With gaps in the block work of the foundation,
closed-cell spray foam insulation was applied to all exterior facing foundation walls to create an
air-tight seal. Preventing air leakage can make a big impact on wintertime energy costs, leading
to huge savings. Check out our reviews to read what the homeowner had to say about his
experience. We certainly enjoyed helping him protect his home and investment.
